My Take on Extraterrestrials and Remote Viewing

by Stephen Yulish PhD Posted November 12, 2007

The Alien Seeker News: Contributing writer Dr. Stephen Yulish
As I have stated in several previous articles, I wrote a spec treatment for the X-Files TV Show in 1995 entitled The Catching Away. This was the first presentation of my premise that the sudden catching away (Rapture) of Christians would be explained as an abduction by UFOs (see The Upcoming Great Deception, UFO Digest 12/15/06). I had been greatly influenced by military aviation historian Trevor James Constable s statement that the battle with UFOs was not for the planet of man but for the soul of man. When my treatment was finally officially denied and returned in 1996 (under strange circumstances as explained in My Struggle Against Spiritual Forms of Wickedness in Heavenly Places (UFO Digest 9/1/07), I sought to use that same concept in a novel but I had to create new characters and a new story line to carry my premise.

A little while later I seemingly providentially ran across Courtney Brown PhD s book Cosmic Voyage and his Farsight Institute. He spoke of some former CIA psychics turning their efforts from spying on Russia from afar (Remote Viewing) to searching the heavens for extraterrestrials and also even trying to contact Jesus and other religious figures. Such searches in his mind at least, proved to be possible. Suddenly and rather purposely, the entire subject of Remote Viewing opened up to me as a vehicle for my artistic endeavors. Not that I actually thought that such modalities were appropriate or indeed even legitimate but rather they provided a unique vehicle for developing my ideas.

My first novel, The Great Harpazo Deception: the real story of UFOs, (also excerpted in UFO Digest) made ample use of Remote Viewing. Israeli Colonel Judah Meier, my main protagonist, went to work at the CIA s Remote Viewing facility after graduating from West Point even though he did not have the right security clearances. When this program got scrapped by the CIA because of funding cutbacks (as it did in real life) Judah went to work for the Lazant Institute (aka, the Farsight Institute) where Dr.Lazant used Remote Viewers to scan the heavens. They located not only Azazel, the extraterrestrial fallen angel who dominates my novels, but they also communicated with an entity calling himself jesus who spews forth an all inclusive non judgmental gospel which is exactly what the Farsight Institute supposedly found also. This enabled me to write about extraterrestrials as a manifestation of demonic New Age beliefs as I believed that they actually were.

Thus my novel while obviously fiction was also what I would call faction as well. All of the talk of ETs as fallen angels was I believe actually true, and the talk of Remote Viewing as a way to possibly contact them was also a real endeavor. I did not question its existence or its viability but rather its conclusions and thus its validity.

Remote Viewing is a technique advocated by people as diverse as the journalist Jim Mars in his book Alien Agenda, Dr.Courney Brown in his book Cosmic Voyage and his Farsight Institute, Major General Stubblebine, Chairman of the Board of Psi Tech, psychic Ingo Swann, Dr. Steven Greer s Disclosure Project and the Center for the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) as well as a score of other groups like Exopolitics and the Star Dream Initiative. Dr. Greer s book Hidden Truth: Forbidden Knowledge presents a Gnostic modality of meditation, lucid dreaming, Remote Viewing and higher states of consciousness as ways to contact ETs.

All of these New Age Gnostic approaches to finding the truth were also presented in my novel, The Great Harpazo Deception. I realized early on that these extraterrestrials fallen angels with a demonic connection were sent here to deceive those left behind after the rapture of the church by saying that those missing were indeed abducted by UFOs. This deception of Satan also extends into Gnostic, New Age endeavors such as meditation, lucid dreaming, remote viewing, astrology, higher states of consciousness and other areas like so called mystic Christianity. This deception is fed by the so called lost gospels, DaVinci Code, lost tomb of Jesus and other heresies. They are all part and parcel of Satan s effort to keep people from the truth of Jesus Christ as the one and only Savior of mankind.

In my novel, The Great Harpazo Deception, I filled the Lazant Institute with a theologian from Harvard Divinity School by the name of Reverend Shea. There are also two psychics, one a Stephen who was a grad student at Harvard and a layperson Endora. They not only used Remote Viewing to find an extraterrestrial by the name of Azazel but also they communicated with an entity identifying itself as jesus (as did the Farsight Institute). This Jesus entity preached unity and oneness at the expense of truth. It even said that the judgmental Christians would be removed from the earth to pave the way for reconciliation and tolerance. This lie covers the truth of the sudden disappearance of Christians in the Rapture. It is the good people that will be removed not the bad people.

Those involved in the Lazant Institute get involved with the Conference on Religious Unity sponsored by the United Nations Global Committee. Other participants included the Gaia Consortium, the Temple of Religious Enlightenment, the Vatican and the World Council of Churches. These were all real organizations that I had discovered and put into my novel. All preached against religious bigotry and sought universal tolerance and oneness. Once again, I could not make up a better list of participants in my attempt to lay the groundwork for the upcoming deception.

The mere fact that one would think of using a psychic or seer or medium (which are all against Biblical teachings) to communicate with God, aka Jesus, is in and of itself haughty at best and contemptible at worst. It is like saying that Jesus came to earth on a flying saucer and impregnated Mary. It has nothing to do with Biblical reality or Truth anymore than does the medieval Jewish book, Toledat Yeshu, which said that Mary was actually raped by a Roman Centurion and Jesus (Yeshu) was the bastard result. Both are heresies attempting to negate the word of God and the legitimacy of Christ.

To use Remote Viewing or meditation or higher states of consciousness or astrology or mysticism to contact Jesus is my mind an oxymoron. Why would or should one use demonic techniques to try and reach God.

They are incongruous.

Do so and expect dire consequences. Saul used the witch at Endor to call up Samuel and he died as a result.

Using Remote Viewing psychics to try and contact fallen angels in the heavenlies sadly though does make some demented sense. They both are evil and ungodly. But those at my fictional Lazant Institute, when they contacted the extraterrestrial entity Azazel, did not realize the real significance of the encounter and were easily led astray by Azazel. Judah, the Jewish, Israeli Colonel turned man of God was the only one that understood what was really happening. He then found himself allied with members of the Senate Select Intelligence Committee and a Christian militia group, the Joshua Brigade, to fight against Azazel and his minions.

What I am trying to reveal here is that Remote Viewing techniques advocated by many to try and use psychics to reach ETs only serves to bolster my belief that both are anti-God. Throw in the notion that many Remote Viewers also try and communicate with demonic entities claiming to be Jesus and other religious figures and my case is made. Such techniques only try and find evidence that destroys the Word of God and demeans the Godhead of Jesus and His role as Savior of mankind.

The Apostle Paul described this deception perfectly when he wrote:

Put on the full armor of God that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:11-12
