Teleportation, time travel, ESP, enhanced human intelligence and special abilities, psychokinesis/telekinesis and cosmic coincidences (synchronicity) emerge in unusual and wonderful ways in the new movie THE LAST MIMZY from New Line Cinema.
Cosmic wormholes and bridges, U.S. national security, the ecological future of Earth and the biological and genetic future of the human race are also some of the fascinating topics explored in this fast-paced and thoughtful film.
For those who might view this heartwarming family movie (rated PG) as simply an entertaining and imaginary story, think again … deeply.
Key people from Hollywood and the sciences have merged their knowledge and insights to create a movie experience that helps us understand what is happening on our planet and in our universe at this interesting time in human development.
The film is produced by Michael Phillips (CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND) and directed by Bob Shaye (LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy). Shaye is also founder, co-chair and co-CEO of New Line Cinema.
Between the production team and cast members, there are six academy award winners among those involved in THE LAST MIMZY.
Technical consultants include Dr. Brian Greene, Columbia University professor of mathematics and physics (a proponent of the "string theory" views of the universe) and Dr. Susan Smaller, UCLA professor of psychiatry and biobehavioral sciences, who specializes in genetics.
PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE
The movie begins far into the future as a teacher sits in a beautiful mountain meadow with her young students. She is telling them about a how the Earth and humanity had drifted into ecological and biological disaster long ago.
Back then, the DNA of the human race had been damaged and a brave scientist sought to go into the past to obtain DNA that held the keys to saving the humanity.
He sent special objects back through time through a cosmic bridge or portal … far, far back in time to the early 21st Century. And these "toys," actually high technology devices, were found on a beach near Seattle by two young siblings.
The movie follows the discoveries and adventures of these children, older brother Noah Wilder (played by Chris O'Neil) and little sister Emma (Rhiannon Leigh Wryn). They, their family and circles of other people are pulled into a mystery that spans time and space.
Noah's and Emma's parents, David (Timothy Hutton) and Jo (Joely Richardson) find themselves puzzled by their kids' behavior, but eventually join in the effort to get to the bottom of the amazing developments the family has been drawn into.
Michael Clark Duncan (THE GREEN MILE) plays a national security official who coordinates a response and investigation into the unusual phenomena surrounding Noah and Emma.
Gradually, they discover that these toys found by Noah and Emma are strange indeed. The stuffed rabbit named Mimzy communicates to Emma, helping her and her brother use the objects to advance a project they do not yet fully understand.
Noah and Emma soon begin to experience unusual aspects of these objects, and surprising phenomena within themselves. They develop "anomalous cognition," abilities to perceive things in new ways, as well as other enhanced intelligence and skills.
The purpose of these events gradually is revealed with the help of Noah's science teacher and his girlfriend, neuropsychiatric experts, national security officials and scientists.
FICTION OR EMERGING FACT?
Researchers from scientific perspectives, spiritual viewpoints, the national security and intelligence communities as well as average people have been discovering for many years that the kinds of phenomena the Wilder family encounter in THE LAST MIMZY are not just fantasy.
In fact, many of us are experiencing synchronicity and anomalous cognition/ESP quite frequently. We may or may not recognize this.
Like Noah, Emma, their parents and those who share in the mysterious adventures in this movie, we are all in the middle of exciting discoveries and developments that may soon change how we see our universe and ourselves.
This film helps us open our minds, and hearts, and realize that we are living in a time when new understanding and disclosures about surprising phenomena are bubbling up all around us and within us.
Rumors about ESP and "remote viewing," UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors, angels and the afterlife, the convergence of physics and spirituality, the underlying nature of Nature and the creation of a new kind of world are something worth listening to and learning more about.
Whispers about strange coincidences, unusual phenomena, a master plan and miracles that might occur are spreading.
If you are already interested in these kinds of developments, seeing THE LAST MIMZY might help you get a fresh perspective. If some of the information is new to you, this movie is sure to take you and your family on a fun adventure that also informs you of new breakthroughs about our wonderful universe.
