There are those who claim that GOD, YHWH was a person or a being that came to Earth, was he?
The answer is in the Holy bible. All passages come from the NEW Jerusalem Bible. In Exodus Book 20 verse 21 and 22 the Bible tells us that,"Moses approached the dark cloud where GOD was . Yahweh said to Moses , "Tell the Israelites this, "You have seen for yourself how I have spoken to you from Heaven."So according to this even Moses did not see YHWH!!
Now to add fuel to the fire of whether God was a spirit or a spirit person can be made for certain by the words in Exodus 19 verse 18 tells us that YHWH descended on it in the form of fire.
Further more as it says in Psalm 139 verse 7,"Where shall I go to escape YOUR SPIRIT? Where shall I flee from your presence? If I scale the heavens you are there, if I lie flat in Sheol there you are." So even in the Old Testament God was a spirit who is every where at all times. No human frame, body or entity. He is present in his believers and to anyone who calls his names in praise and worship HIM!!!! The RUAH KODESH, which is often refers to as the HOLY SPIRIT really means in Hebrew as the "other spirit." In O.T. times they would call on the "Holy Spirit" as the "OTHER" OTHER, OTHER."
This holds true as the Bible also tells us that we must "worship the FATHER in Spirit and truth" So YHWH the divine name, YAHWEH, or the letters YHWH, were used in Hebrew Scripture over 6,000 times in the OT alone!!!!!!!!
Gifts of the Spirit of GOD are many and in 1st Corinthians chapter 12 it explains just that. No Jewish citizen would ever consider YHWH a human in a body. Even the OT and the NT testament testifies to that. Even YESHUA expresses that. Jesus again expresses that in John 4 verse 21-24, God is a spirit and you must worship HIM in spirit and in Truth!!!!!
So what does the Bible say about GOD, YAHWEH GOD?
That God can be in flesh if he wants but through the whole Bible he tells us that he is a spirit and that HE is the ultimate spirit that controls the whole Universe. But he never showed himself to be just a human being or flew in a flying saucer or anything like that. He was the KING of the UNIVERSE!
Angels on the heavenly reign bowed down to HIM. Satan fell to him. The whole angelic host served HIM. All on a spirit realm.
God does not reign on some planet. Nor in places made by hands, but he reigns in our hearts and minds. Anything less then That and he is not GOD ALMIGHTY. YESHUAS' last words on the Torture stake ," ELOI ELOI why have you forsaken me?" But that was not the end of it. For what Yeshua was doing was citing Psalm 22, read the whole thing, as it is a praise to Yeshuas" Father,YAHWEH, The God of the Universe!!! Not some creation of GOD in human form, but the ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD OF THE WHOLE UNIVERSE, that nothing, nothing made of hands can contain.!
So if you consider HIM a GOD of a planet or one that rides around the universe in a UFO and talks to people, find it in the Holy Scriptures, because it is not there.!
