The Unofficial History of UFO Groups

As we go through the "way back" machine there have been many. They are always in short form: APRO, NICAP, CAPER, MUFON, FSR, IFSB and I have found several more in almost all countires of the world. Why the influx of all the groups? Because the mind of man is almost a "cosmic mind." We do not think we "are alone" Are we? Now that is a question that no one can prove or can we.
APRO, stands for Aerial Phenonema Research Organization. They were one of the First groups along with NICAP ,National Investigation Committee Aerial Phenomena . Then came Flying Saucer Review and then was the International Flying Saucer Bureau and Committee Aerial Phenomena Evaluation and Research. Those were just a few here in America. Never mind the world!
There were some that were way out there on their beliefs and as we saw in the last 10-15 years some were on the "lunatic fringe." But for the most part the pioneers were NICAP and APRO.... They were the groups that tried so very hard to make the ufo enigma a respectable "scientific effort to find the answer, They both had the engineers, the astronamers and the scientists in all areas of expertise to investigate the over abundance of unexplained sightings of the aerial enigma that were roaming our atmosphere of our planet. Now there was the reason why?
Was it when we set off the atom bomb? No because about 20-30 thousand years ago there were paintings in cave walls and in ancient art of ALL countries ! So these "flying whatacallits" are nothing new! One theroy is they were all ready here. And some who read the Bible think that GOD, or YAHWEH was an ancient astronaut!!!
Sure there were peoples who studied them in other countries and cultures and the strange things tht occured since the 3rd rock from the sun came into existence.
Now how did this "rock" we live on get here? No one knows. That is even more enigmatic then the UFOS! Why? To have life here and atmosphere and plants and all living things......everything has to be just right. Most of these UFO groups have excellent researchers, investigators and staff that have to filter the "real" from the mundane and the natural sightings of natural objects that share this "rock" with us. The meat and potatoes of the work that is done by these groups are the ones that get out from the homes at all times og the day, night and on their days off. No time for themselves. They devoted a great part of their lives to this cause, making unidentified into identifiable. That takes time and money. Also none of these researches and investigators never get paid. That is why a lot of them write books so they get some compensation for their time and monetary loss. Actually most investigators lose their families, their jobs and some even their jobs over it. Ufo investigation and research is a time consuming job and with some becomes an "obsession." I know I have been there and done that......Now I am trying to make it a hobby.
But if it were not for the UFO groups that started out in the 1800s we would not have the knowledge of UFOS today.
Most of the groups have gone under. Either because of financial woes, people deceased, or just poor management or even "threats" from mysterious men.
Where are we today. WE know more about the universe, the cosmos and our planet and the enigma of the universe we live in because of these brave people. These unselfish individuals , scientists, astronomers, and web site people and the media and unpaid researchers and investigators from the ufo groups that have been in almost every country of this planet. Support them. The big boy on the block is MUFON. Join them, they are world wide.
