Most people do not know that Jesus was born in the spring. Probably in late April or early May. How do we know that? The whole story is centered on 2 things.
The coming of the Magi(not wise men.) Who followed a "star" that moved. How many Magi? It does not tell us. It only mentions the gifts not the number of Magi. Also how do we know it was April?
Because the inns were filled. So as in or around passover people would come to Jerusalem ALL Jewish people were required to do so. So they had to travel and stay some where. Ans as Passover is always in late April all the rooms would be taken and travel would never be taken in the rainy season in the late fall, winter or when the travel would be hazardous. The whole town would be filled with weary travelers waiting for the beginning of passover.
Now about the "star." As the bible in Matthew tells us the Magi came from the East. What is the most prominent star,(planet in the East) in the East in Spring? Venus! But the Wise men came from the East probably going to the West and the STAR moved. Again how do we know? And in some versions they were astrologers or today we might call them astronomers. As they studied the skies. But agasin this bright object moved towards the general direction of the west. Now Herod comes into play here. For He, Herod, asked the astrologers and accordingly he summoned them privately and asked them on what date the "star appeared?" Matt 2 verses 7-8
So then this could not have been Venus as this star was something new and it moved. Because they followed it Westward!!!!! Then according to Matt 2 verses 9and 10 the "star stopped." It stopped over the HOUSE where the child was. How do we know? Because in Matt 2 it also says that Matt 2 verse 11 they went in the house where the child was with his mother Mary and falling to their knees did him homage.
So now we have a new star that appeared in Spring, moving from East to west that was unlike any other star or planet that moved some what westward and was brighter then anything they, the astrologers had ever seen before! Then it stopped! Directly over the house, not cave or stable where Yeshua laid in the manger(cattle trough)!!! Now how can that be.
Well in Isreal as the weather was getting warmer the cattle was starting to move out of the house! What?
Yes in the colder and wetter climate the cattle, sheep and donkeys etc staid in the house on the bottom floor of the houses. The people staid on the top floor! So it could be that either some of the cattle was still in the house and other cattle, sheep, little by little were being moved out!
As it was noted that the sheperds were in the fields watching the sheep. So it was not the cold rainy season of winter. The sky was dark at night and to follow a star at night that was not moving and stopped over the house could not be a natural possibility.
Could it be a possibility that a Ufo traveled East to West, seen by shepards in the fields, and according to the most ancient texts it did not say "star" but only "a bright light appeared and there was NO ANGELS SINGING!!! That was added in about 300 years after The CHRIST(The Annointed One) died!!!!!!
So did a UFO show the Magi, the astrologers, where to go? Did a UFO stop right over the house? We will never really know. But that is the story according to Matthew in some of the older texts. HMMM? Is this what is going to come when Christ returns? Only time will tell.
