'UFO Hunters' is a new TV show that debuted this year. I think in general it is a great show, which covers a wide range of topics. Bill Birnes, the publisher of UFO Magazine, and his crew do a great job. They seek out a lot of incidents that they receive to prove the valid stories that people send into them. They then probe into the facts and try to prove them, all by the scientific way. From the 'Shag Harbor Incident' to abduction experiences, they do a great job.
They use all the modern scientific equipment to pursue a case. These cases are the meat and potatoes of UFO research, which they will use every modern method to prove or disprove. And at the end of each show they rate the validity of their findings.
This is a great show, which I hope that they can keep on for a long time. This show should be done this way and I endorse it for what it is. But what is it?
It is a show to produce the valid claims of extra-terrestrials in or on our tiny planet called earth. At the end of the show they rate the validity of their findings on 60 to 90% percent of the facts that can be proved. However, 100 percent criteria, in my opinion, would only be accepted if they could find an alien or a UFO intact, which is not likely going to happen, because our government would never allow it to happen. However, for what they do, makes for a very informative show. It is more like a modern version of the 'Twilight Zone.' They leave the audience in a state of guessing. Example: If the radiation in a person is higher then anything known to man, well, to them "that is interesting." The scientific method must be 100% before it can be totally convincing. They, 'The UFO Hunters,' will never do that! Neither the military, or under the guise of National Security, will never let that happen. They never delve into the paranormal aspects or present a case with 100-percent undeniable proof. If they have a good solid case, then that is what they say. "It is a good solid case." What does that mean?
The old adage is: "If it smells like a duck, looks like a duck, leaves feathers like a duck and quacks like a duck," then it just might be a duck. Granted, until they find a UFO or an EBE, then they will show it right? Wrong! It will never be shown; our government will never allow that. So in that vein of thinking and with their constraints on the media, they are doing a magnificent job. I leave the show leaning on the side that Bill has.....this has a 90-percent chance of being a UFO. They never will be able to prove anything.
They circumvent the reality of the MIB enigma. I do enjoy their tottering with some quotes from the more simple answers of the UFO community. Their view of the UFO mystique is that there is evidence that can never prove anything, because their scientific views would demand 100-percent proof and they will never have 100-percent proof. However, to the average viewer they are doing a great job in making the UFO enigma a more valid topic to the world.
The head of SETI is on the show almost on every week. Why? I do not know. This convoluted style of UFO investigation will never come up with an answer, now or in the future if they continue to use the data they find. Much like the TWILIGHT ZONE, we will never really know.
The best show was when they extracted a foreign object from a witness to have it evaluated. It was not from this earth.
If not, then where did it come from: Lemuria, Magonia? Where?
Of course we will never know and they will not either. Like Bill says, and it is the truth, "unless we find an EBE or a dead alien we will always be guessing."
The US Air Force has always known, but of course it is never going to let the people know. You only have to read the popular books of the past and today: Major Donald Keyhoes book, 'Aliens From Space,' Brad Steigers' 'Alien Meetings,' John Keel's books, any of them, Ray Fowlers, 'UFO Testament' or even more compelling is Hilary Evan's book 'Alien Visitors,' or if you are a Biblical type of person then read the Bible.
We have always had visitors, angels, spirits and enigmatic men walking around. The angels who ate manna and the apparent rising of Christ to HIS FATHER. Or the fiery chariots that took many humans away in biblical times. Are these all "maybes"? Any criminal case would come out with a verdict of guilty based on the preponderance of the evidence, but not so in the ufologist mind.
Even the "Washington UFO scare" in 1952 did not begin to solve the mysterious UFO sightings of that day. How much proof do we, as humans, need?
The mysteries of the UFO may never be solved. Why? Because we are always looking "out there."
There is more evidence for UFOS then for God. Angels, messengers, God, Jesus and the whole history of man is contained in one book and we as people refuse to see the signs of what is around us. How much more evidence do we need? I do not know! What I know is this: Bill and his crew are doing an admirable job with what they have, so please keep up the good work. However, again I ask them. How much evidence do you need to say with certainty that UFOs have always been with us? The history of our planet shows us with the evidence you and others have unearthed that UFOs have been here for at least 3 to 5 thousand years and are not going away in your or my lifetime. When you can say with certainty that UFOs do not exist, then I will say, with thousands and if not millions of others that THEY DO EXIST! Can you PROVE me wrong?
