Salem Witch Trial
From before the pilgrims to the 20th century New England has been a hot bed of unexplained paranormal activities. From the Bridgewater triangle in Mass, to the Dover Demon also in Mass and the whole area of New England being assaulted by Ufos in the 1960s and the first ever photo of a UFO in the United States over MT Washington in the 1860s New England has had its share of paranormal sightings.

To this day New England has had its share of all forms of extra abnormal entities and events from another plane of existence, or is it? The Salem witch trials were of the witches having encounters and seances with the devil. The Salem wich trials of the 1600s is an example of what this mysterious New England. There are no towns left spared by reports of witches, sppoks, ghosts or even phantom cats or dogs. Even Lake Champlain in VT and the Canadian border has its own Lake monster in its waters.

The 1800s were no exception either. Like I said the first known picture of a UFO was taken over MT Washington in the late 1860s. Bigfoots in the 16oos and flying peradactyls flying over Mass even in the"the Bridgewater Triangle." NH has had its own version of these events and hauntings. Ghosts even in the towns of NH seacoast. Portsmouth NH has its haunted cemeteries. Also Dover, NH has its share of ghosts. One person who died in the 1600s have been seen about 8 miles away from the grave site! It can be seen some times walking on hot summer nights in the down town area.

If one can remember that New England and the coast line down to Philadelphia was the first colonies to become the United States. These colonies were the ones that produced and thrived with the Indians and the lore of Indian sightings some times occur also. Goody Cole of Hampton was another famous witch that plagued Hampton NH. It was said that she was accused of witch craft and sent to Prison for it in the late 1600s.She also was brought to Portsmouth to be tried for Witch craft and inprisoned. After she got out one day as a ship went out of the harbor she cursed it and it was never seen again. She was brought to Boston then came back to Hampton and then brought to death there. Where they burried her they piled huge stones and slanbs over her to keep her there.

Now on to UFOS. In 1896 one was shot at the Porstsmouth Naval Ship yard! That was one of the first , if not the first of a UFO being shot at by the military. Like I said over Mt Washington the first picture was taken of a UFO. And NH was the first registered case of an abduction that has stoood the test of time in UFO lore. Although Ufos were seen in the 1950s in Newburyport Mass as well as Haverhill Mass and other towns near Boston! But as we know the best was to come.

The 1960s had UFO waves in the 1965 with the Incident at Exeter and the 1967 events around the Seacoast and the bordering towns of Mass! The whole border from the Seacoast of Mass-NH was an impressive wave hysteria that no town missed. Low level sightings, mibs and other close encounters of the 3rd kind were all over the news! Their was not a week that went by that did not have its share of sightings from the rocky coast to its inland rivers. The UFOS were every where. Even the great Black out, in my opinion (and other also) were caused by these enigmatic flying objects. So from the 1950s-the 1990s were just over run by these objects that were seen from Rhode Island to Maine and beyond.

So from Bigfoots and Flying winged "monsters" in Mass to ghost in NH and Maine lighthouses and Ufos in the 20th century and New England Mountains being seen and capturing people in the same areas of the first pictures 200 years earlier it seems to me they are not going to go away. Why should they? They were here before the pilgrims settled. They are here now just waiting to be seen again. Will I or you or anyone who visits VT see the phantom "nessie."
