Alexandra's 'Spirit Talk'

'Beam Me Up Scottie - It's My First Time!'

It's my first time delving deeper under another part of my paranormal umbrella. Easily being put off by all the research that has been done by scientists, writers, believers, astronomers, mediums, investigators you name it; as the list goes on could be enough for me not to delve. But, I am a determined Arian and have come to this intriguing magazine in the hopes to discuss the connections of the paranormal part of the umbrella I am accustomed too, thus blending it with another I am seeking out.

It would be easier if a humanoid, as my father refers to them as, would just beam me up and answer some bloody questions and we'd be done with it. Unfortunately, nothing under the vast paranormal umbrella is that easy. Hence why I believe as long as we are here on earth, there will always be new discoveries and the need to re-visit our past. Perhaps when we cross over, all those unanswered question about ghosts, aliens, demons, big foot, nessy, chucacubras, chewbacca, yoda and so forth will be explained. But the catch is, once the head angel guide tells you all of the universes secrets, you can't tell a living soul! If that was the case, you'd have many pissed off arrivals at the pearly gates because then what's the point? You've got all the goods and the only ones you can talk to are either transparent, odd shaped looking beings, hairy over grown ape men, a sea creature, some demons and a partridge in a pair tree. Oh well, back to the drawing board as the debate and curiosity continues for me.

It occurred to me when I began writing columns that the second place to host my 'Spirit Talk' idea was at UFODigest.com and now adding Alienseeker News, and whether or not it would be accepted. I learned that in the field of the paranormal, there is no scrutiny among those who believe, research, fact find and more; as there is a respect factor at work here. If you lean more to the topic of UFOs and I towards Ghosts, we are still friends because we have a mutual respect for the field in general. Perhaps society can benefit and learn from these acts of respect, when we deal with racial remarks and so many other uglier issues. I could have easily written about this topic then, but I just wasn't ready. It took for this magazine to give me that extra step of dipping into another part of the paranormal. It was time and so here I am and have noticed more about the curiosity UFOs bring about and their popularity in our culture.

I received an e-mail a few months ago from Canadian radio show host, Rob McConnell of the X-Zone, who sent out recent UFO sightings off of youtube.com in Paris, Brooklyn, NY and in the tropics. They were incredible video footage of the hugest oval shaped, high tech looking crafts I had seen on my screen. The pictures in France had people walking on the side streets, as the Eiffel Tower could be seen ahead when two enormous and loud crafts hovering over the people literally zipped up and over a building vanishing.

I thought to myself a few things. My first reaction was wow because I had never seen anything that high tech before. I actually never had witnessed my own account. But, from that standpoint alone, I became afraid. Could this be for real and if so, what the heck was on board? "Jane, who's driving this thing!"-George Jetson. Then I had a second impression. Was this government made and if so, how rude of them to have these crafts flying around at such a low altitude scaring people. When I explained this to my husband, his answer was that if it was the government, they do what they do and there is very if not little, respect factor in play. I felt as if knowing how difficult life was and that were in a middle of a war; the cost of living keeps rising, health concerns and our medical system spiraling out of control; why would the government add this to that list? Was it really necessary and didn't they have their own 'craft driving ranges' to use? You know, sans les persons?

Then I watched a third clip from a rooftop in Brooklyn, NY where some men were filming and there was a bunch of oval shaped crafts flying in unisance as I began to feel weird in my gut. Now, nothing would surprise me if the government was testing unmanned crafts for war purposes, and sent them all around the globe. But, at least knowing all the phenomena surrounding UFO's dating back to when unusual aerial phenomena had been reported throughout prehistory (flying saucers in cave paintings in Hunan, 47,000 B.C., southern France, 20,000 B.C., etc.) and history. Many of these phenomena were undoubtedly astronomical in nature: comets, bright meteors, one or more of the five planets which can be seen with the naked eye, planetary conjunctions, or atmospheric optical phenomena such as parhelia and lenticular clouds. This was not one of those astronomical nature things. It was as real and alive as you and I. My mind kept reeling and for the rest of the day, I couldn't wait to talk to someone about it. Later that evening, pitching up a new tent for my fourth child's birthday party, there in the back my husband and father in-law seemed to be the right ears to burn. Of course, it became a silly short conversation as I watched the skies closely that evening. All the children were out on our 700 sq. foot wrap around deck chasing the fire flies. "Mommy, what are you looking at" said the inquisitive nothing gets by me six-year old. In a daze like way, mommy responded, " I don't know." I would like to know but I just don't.

Paranormal and occult hypotheses about UFOs are what seem to gravitate this soul towards the feeling for more information being needed. In 1758, the book entitled Earths in the Solar World, Emanuel Swedenborg reported a number of visions where he was taken around various planets. Now that's what I am talking about! When are we going to have an Alien Escort Service so we can have a turn to see? That's all I'm saying. But no probing allowed, you know the Alien would have to sign a release form as that is a must in red ink!

Emanuel regarded these visions as genuine. As early as the 17th century, the polymath John Dee and his assistant Edward Kelley, communed with superior and unearthly beings (which he called angels) who spoke a strange language called Enochian, and giving them "wisdom" and knowledge. Could there be a connection to the other side and the universe with it's suns, stars and planets? Are they all one in the same and share the same space? The universe is like the waterfall that continuously flows over the rocky ledge to continue down stream as an endless water way. Except here we call it the milky way.

This book went on to inspire author H.P. Lovecraft, the Left Hand Path occultists Kenneth Grant and Michael Bertiaux who formed magical orders devoted to using tantric and ceremonial magic as a means to contact extraterrestrial (and/or extra dimensional) entities. Fascinating I said to myself. It almost made the topic on UFOs seem a bit more human if you will. I think ghosts and spirits are more accepting among us then those of UFOs. Perhaps because we feel closer to our God, whoever that is for us as there are many in religion and cultures around the world.

Perhaps, we as a society feel better about identifying death easier then another possible life form existing? Just because there are many topics under the paranormal umbrella, doesn't mean they are all treated equally. Some seem to be more accepting of then others. My quest will continue to seek out whether or not all this is just one, big bowl of living wax and we are somewhere stuck in the middle like flies to a spider web. Except, who's really in charge then? Is there one supreme being that stands over this bowl stirring us every so often?

Until next month, I wish everyone well.
