Kevin has always had an incredible drive to excel at everything he set his mind to do. Most of his adult career has been in law enforcement. He has served as a deputy sheriff, city police officer, international police officer, and diplomatic observer. He has served in Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, and East Timor.
While still serving in Kosovo (in 2000), Kevin founded the Kevin Smith Show. The show has originated from many exotic points on the globe, and now originates from the Phoenix, AZ area.
Kevin brings the incisive mind of a police investigator to his interviews, and he interviews some of the top names in their fields. He assumes the position of neither a believer, or disbeliever and probes for the depths of the guests' information.
"It is ridiculous thinking that brings a people down. Critical thinking causes a people to rise. I try to promote critical thinking about issues ridiculous people do not want to consider," says Kevin.
Kevin is an insatiable reader, an avid writer, and world traveler. In addition to his international police missions, he has traveled to Italy, Spain, Austria, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, and a few other places. His command of a wide horizon of knowledge, and his exposure to a lot of the world combine to make him one of the most interesting talk hosts on radio.
